# David Radcliff > Wheelchair-Using, Emmy-Nominated Writer from Hit TV Shows For five years, I served as chair or co-chair of the Disabled Writers Committee at the Writers Guild of America, West, championing pathways for talented writers with disabilities and working to improve accuracy and complexity of disability on-screen. I’ve also been fortunate to write for ABC, CBS, Disney Jr, and Netflix. I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair. I’m an alum of the Disney Writing Program and of UCLA film school, as well as a winner of the Austin Film Festival and of the EasterSeals Disability Film Challenge. I’ve also been trained by the Book Shop School for Ad Writing. Always eager to talk about creative industries, fellowship strategy, the realities of disability in media (behind and in front of the camera), the writers’ room, and entrepreneurship. One of my favorite things to do is connect people and services who may be beneficial to each other. I’ve taught writing at UCLA and New York Film Academy and have been an advisor to organizations and storytellers including the Inevitable Foundation, The Norman Lear Center, the New Leaders Council, Lights Camera Access! and more. I also offer speechwriting and copywriting services and have worked with organizations including Southern California Grantmakers, Belong Health, and Angel Flight West in that capacity.
