Shelly has over 25 years professional experience, having 16 years of leadership responsibility in the transportation, clean-tech and wellness divisions at Cox Enterprises, the $22b privately held media, auto & business giant. She had a governance responsibility to facilitate growth for their popular consumer brands like: Cox Cable, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, TheAustin American-Statesman, Dayton Daily News, WSB-TV Atlanta (ABC), KTVU San Francisco (FOX), KIRO Seattle (CBS), WPXI Pittsburgh (NBC), Kelley Blue Book, AutoTrader.com, and Valpak.

She managed strategic alliances with partner companies like: Tesla, Toyota, Ford, GM, Audi, BMW, WSJ, Facebook, Instagram, Yahoo, Google, eBay & MSN.

Across Cox divisions, she was a Health and Wellness Ambassador and appointed to lead the company’s Energy Team within their Go Green initiative to reduce its carbon impact leading toward Clean-Tech investments.

She was former Chair of The City of Laguna Beach Environmental Sustainability Committee and also the current Chair of the Emergency Disaster Preparedness Committee and Department of Homeland Security and FEMA CERT team member.  She also hold numerous board and or treasury seats.

Shelly has spoken at University of Oxford Saïd Business School, United Nations/Peoples Republic of China World Congress, Finland Teachers Commission and other events. 

She was a participant of Harvard Business School’s inaugural Strategy & Execution HBX Live program along with being a graduate of Harvard Law PON.  Most recent graduate of MIT AI strategy program & she is a University of Oxford Saïd Business School alum.
