# Jesus Deusa Alonso

Born in Spain, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Agri-Food and Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2015-2019). I then pursued a dual Master's in Agronomy (2019-2021) and Food Science & Technology (2020-2021), graduating with honors. During my Master's studies, in March 2021, I co-founded AGRARI, an e-commerce platform offering direct-from-farmer fruits and vegetables with quick delivery. AGRARI was accelerated by Glovo, a prominent unicorn, and subsequently acquired by a Spanish corporate.
While scaling AGRARI, I enrolled in the Master in Startup Administration (MSA) program (2021-2022). The first half of this MBA was based in Valencia, followed by an invaluable second half (January-July 2022) at UC Berkeley. This experience at the world's top public university and a global leader in VC-backed startups profoundly enhanced my understanding of how to scale our startup.
Upon returning to Spain, AGRARI received an acquisition offer in late 2022. Soon after, I joined Plug and Play at their Valencia offices. Plug and Play is the world's largest global innovation platform and one of the most active VCs, boasting over 2,200 portfolio companies, 200 new investments annually, and 35 unicorns, including Dropbox, PayPal, Rappi, and N26. It also serves as an open innovation platform for corporate giants like Pepsi, Visa, Walmart, Amazon, and Nike. As part of the Ventures team in the Food & Beverage and AgTech sector, I managed numerous investments and executed contracts for corporate partners such as Pepsi, Coca-Cola, MARS, and Roquette.
After 1 year and 4 months as an Analyst in Valencia, I was offered a transfer to Plug and Play's global headquarters in Silicon Valley as an Investment Associate in the Food & Beverage vertical. In this role, I contribute to the strategy, investments, and services we provide to our corporate partners from our central hub, driving the company's expansion and helping these major corporations achieve their innovation objectives.
