I’m a Professor of Animal Health and Behavior, Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer, and the Director of Behavioral Husbandry for an animal sanctuary. I have a master’s degree in animal science and behavior, bachelor’s in animal health and behavior, an applied science degree in zoo keeping, and certificates in applied animal behavior and animal shelter behavior management. I have 30 plus years of hands-on experience in animal handling and care that, along with my formal education, enhances my current work as a consultant, educator, author, and animal caretaker. I work across species and for the past 7 years have been focusing much of my time on snakes and other reptiles in addition to horses, dogs, and more “common” species.
