# Norbert Gehrke

Norbert Gehrke is the Founder & Representative Director of the Tokyo FinTech Association, and the Publisher of the Japan FinTech Observer. He is an investor & advisor for several FinTech companies with a focus on strategy & operations, as well as facilitation of Asia market entry.

Norbert spent most of his career in Capital Markets, as a Managing Director in Goldman Sachs’ Technology Division, Barclays Investment Bank, and as a consultant. He has led several greenfield broker/dealer implementations around the globe (including Brazil, India, Russia, Korea), innovation & transformation initiatives, as well as new product launches. 

Norbert is a Fellow of the Digital Euro Association, has developed & taught a FinTech class for New York University’s School of Professional Studies (Tokyo), and is a guest lecturer at New York University, Nagoya University & Hokkaido University.
