About me
I am a lifelong retailer who began my career at 16 pushing shopping carts and worked my way up to leading multi-billion-dollar retail operations. Today, I serve as the Chief Operating Officer at Moon Valley Nurseries, the only vertically integrated specialty tree retailer in the United States. In this role, I am helping guide the company on its growth journey toward 100 stores and more than two million trees grown, sold, installed, and maintained for clients across the country. Prior to joining Moon Valley Nurseries, I was Vice President of Retail for West Marine, a private equity–backed retailer with 220 stores across the United States. Before making the transition into private equity and specialty retail, I spent two decades at two of the world’s largest publicly traded retailers, Walmart and Target. There, I advanced from my early beginnings as a store associate to leading large-scale retail operations with direct profit and loss ownership exceeding $20 billion. I also had the opportunity to lead across multiple areas of the business, including retail operations innovation, change management, grocery, and e-commerce. During this time, I was a founding leader of Walmart’s first paid membership program, Walmart+. My career has allowed me to gain experience across every level of retail, from the shop floor to the boardroom. I currently hold responsibility for operations, real estate, information technology, product, human resources, marketing, supply chain, and corporate strategy. This breadth of leadership experience has given me a unique perspective on how to design, implement, and scale change in highly complex retail organizations. I am particularly passionate about helping businesses navigate major transitions, whether that be moving from public to private equity ownership, scaling from founder-led to nationally recognized enterprises, or implementing large-scale transformation strategies. My focus is on blending hands-on operational knowledge with strategic insight to drive both immediate performance and sustainable long-term growth.

Most of our experts offer 1:1 video consultations ranging between 15 - 60 minutes. During the booking the process, you will be able to select the duration that makes sense for you.

Our most popular sessions are 30 minutes long, but you can still get a lot done during a 15 minute session.

Many of our experts sell out quickly. You can wait until they unlock more sessions or if they've enabled our Request a Booking feature, you can request a booking by sending them times that work for you at least seven days out. This feature is free to use and you'll only get charged when they confirm the booking (a credit card pre-auth is required).
It depends on the specific expert. Some experts add sessions weekly and others add sessions monthly. We recommend booking as soon as possible to not miss out.
Yes. You can reschedule calls at least 48 hours before the session. For any cancellations, or reschedules within 48 hours of the session, we do charge a fee to compensate the expert for the last minute change. All cancellations or reschedules must happen in our mobile app.
