About me
Krishnan Subramanian prefers to be called Subu; its simpler, its informal, and it is just as agile as we need to be in a digital age.
Subu has invested more than three decades to help his clients understand why their consumers (and they themselves) think and behave the way they do. With this understanding, he equips them with simple strategies and frameworks that makes their communications purposive and attractive.
This has helped consumers connect better with brands as diverse as American Express, Apple, Blackrock Mutual, Coca Cola, Ikea, Standard Chartered Bank and Unilever, while working across blue chip agencies like Ogilvy, McCann and TBWA.
In his current assignment, he is leading the consulting practice at TBWA India. Within this remit, alongside consumer products, he also has extensive experience with technology brands dealing with businesses like Fractal, Mu Sigma, Schaeffler, Accenture, Intel and JSW group.
He has worked across fifteen cities in Asia within India, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. He has travelled to another thirty five. He has published many articles and reports on diverse topics and audience segments. He has won three WPP Atticus certificates for original thinking in the field of communications.
Simply put, Subu helps convert brands into a culturally resonating story on the back of understanding of why people behave the way they do.
Now, he wishes to apply this experience to assist individuals (dreamers, changemakers, students, entrepreneurs et al) grow to their next level of potential. This is a combination of teaching, mentoring and advisory assignments to help challengers grow and impact their society for the better.
In this context, he has already put in nearly 200+ hours teaching and lecturing at various forums and institutes.
He flirts between maths and psychology, cooking and politics, stamps and literature, and everything in between. The cooking may be restricted to cutting vegetables. But, like all else, he believes that is a precise art too.
All of you are welcome to connect with him at in/submayahai on LinkedIn.
