About me
Ross Alexander has thrived in the world of design for nearly two decades, developing a mélange of taste, expertise and execution while in leadership roles at prestigious AD 100 interior design and architecture firms, including Robert Couturier, Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Charlotte Moss. Throughout his tenure alongside these venerable designers and teams, his breadth of knowledge in architecture, historical reference and all arenas of the decorative arts grew and evolved with his personal passion for the work. His process is based around the vital principles of instinct and intuition, in order to create spaces that are comfortable, cosseting and glamorous. Every project Ross undertakes begins with a foundation of trust - in that process, his intimate knowledge of art, international and domestic antiques, and the belief that through the finest quality goods and custom craftsmanship, things should be done once, and very well. Each project holds a straightforward sense of place, grounded in site specific context, while tapping into an interpretation of each client’s best self. Ross deeply enjoys the collaborative nature of residential design and embarking on the path to making each home shine. Growing up in the American Midwest next to a nature preserve was an indispensable contribution to his eye for lush, classical rooms and dynamic color. His abundant use of florals are suggestive of the watercolors that often appear in his custom murals, wallcoverings, rug collection and bespoke line of lampshades - referred to in Architectural Digest as made with “a marvelous, painterly hand.” After briefly considering a career as a botanist, Ross befriended (by post) the legendary designer Mario Buatta, who encouraged him to study interior design in New York City, and later working at the office. His path set by that first job with “The Prince of Chintz,” Ross went on to his current career successfully completing projects including historic landmarked buildings, new multi-family commercial towers, estates, townhouses and apartments. www.RossAlexanderDesigns.com

Most of our experts offer 1:1 video consultations ranging between 15 - 60 minutes. During the booking the process, you will be able to select the duration that makes sense for you.
Generally speaking, most of our customers have been delighted with how much they achieved during their live 1:1 video consultations. We have over 5,000 five-star reviews and a high percentage of our customers rebook the same expert or additional experts because their experience exceeded their expectations. Our most popular sessions are 30 minutes long, but you can still get a lot done during a 15 minute session.
Yes. In fact, many of our customers book the same expert or a group of experts on a regular basis. There are no limits.

Many of our experts sell out quickly. You can wait until they unlock more sessions or if they've enabled our Request a Booking feature, you can request a booking by sending them times that work for you at least seven days out. This feature is free to use and you'll only get charged when they confirm the booking (a credit card pre-auth is required).
It depends on the specific expert. Some experts add sessions weekly and others add sessions monthly. We recommend booking as soon as possible to not miss out.
Yes. You can reschedule calls at least 48 hours before the session. For any cancellations, or reschedules within 48 hours of the session, we do charge a fee to compensate the expert for the last minute change. All cancellations or reschedules must happen in our mobile app.
Yes! We're confident that you'll love your first session, but in the rare case that it did not meet your expectations, let us know and we'll make things right.
