Zoe Young has forged a dynamic path in the music industry, not only as a trailblazing A&R executive but also as an entrepreneur and mentor. As former Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, she played a pivotal role in signing and developing major artists, including French Montana, Blac Youngsta, Bay Swag, DDG, Rundown Spazz, Stunna Girl, and BIA. Zoe's personal touch with BIA’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” propelled the track to over 100 million streams, platinum certification, and a high-profile remix featuring Nicki Minaj. The song also topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart for 13 weeks.
Zoe’s work with French Montana on “Unforgettable” marked a milestone in both his career and the industry. The track became the first song by French Montana to hit the top 10 on the chart, and the first for Swae Lee as a solo artist. It also made history as the first song by an African-born artist to achieve diamond certification, with the official video surpassing 1.7 billion views on YouTube. “Unforgettable” reached the top 10 in 15 countries, solidifying French Montana’s place in music history. In the years between, Zoe has worked with numerous artists, writers, and producers, playing a key role in shaping the music we love today.
More recently, Zoe has worked closely with Future on his last three #1 albums: We Don’t Trust You, We Still Don’t Trust You, and Mixtape Pluto. Future even gave Zoe a shoutout on the lead single “Too Fast”, further underscoring her influence in hip hop.
In addition to her extensive work in A&R, Zoe’s passion for mentorship remains a central focus. Through her platform, Zoe A&R, she offers 1:1 coaching, song reviews, curated lessons, and an online community dedicated to artist development and project management support.
Zoe’s upcoming project, The A&R How-To Guide, a comprehensive workbook designed to empower artists, is set for release in 2025.
